Plot

Michael ‘The Lone Wolf’ Laynard, een voormalige crimineel, is tegenwoordig een privédetective. The Lone Wolf wordt ondervraagd door de politie. Er is van een hoogwaardigheidsbekleder uit India tijdens zijn bezoek aan New York City een kostbare saffier gestolen. Wanneer The Lone Wolf een nachtclub bezoekt, ziet hij een zangeres met de gestolen saffier in haar kapsel. The Lone Wolf wil de zangeres na haar optreden spreken, maar hij moet constateren, dat ze is vermoord en het gestolen saffier is verdwenen. Om geen hoofdverdachte te worden moet The Lone Wolf met de hulp van zijn trouwe butler Jameson de saffier en de echte moordenaar vinden
