Twee reporters vinden het afgelegen stadje Acheron, dat op geen enkele kaart aangeduid staat. Ze ontdekken het duistere verleden van Acheron en hoe zijn totale bevolking stierf binnen één maand. Al snel komen ze er achter dat het stadje toch niet zo dood is als het lijkt.
