Drie tieners branden voor de grap een huis af in de buurt. Ze schuiven de schuld op een fictief persoon voor wie ze de naam Ricky Stanicky verzinnen. 20 jaar later maken ze voor elke moeilijke situatie nog steeds gebruik van dit verzinsel. Wanneer hun vrouwen Ricky eens willen ontmoeten huren de mannen een acteur in.
