Drie jonge mensen reizen door het Hongaarse platteland in de hoop de stelling over de legendarische gravin Elizabeth Bathory, die in de 17e eeuw in bloed baadde, te bewijzen. Maar op de terugweg verdwalen ze, totdat een vreemde jonge vrouw aanbiedt hen naar Bathory Castle te brengen.
