Een paar maanden nadat Seth Brundle de dood vond door Veronica's geweer, baart zij zijn zoon, Martin. Seth's werkgever adopteert Martin, om zo zijn genen te kunnen gebruiken voor een superleger. Een paar jaar later is Martin volgroeid, ondanks dat hij pas vijf is, en de vlieg in hem begint wakker te worden. Met de hulp van zijn vriendin Beth probeert hij hulp te zoeken.
