Mike Nichols heeft deze cinematografische bewerking van Joseph Hellers bijtende zwarte komedie op superbe wijze geregisseerd. Het verhaal van een groepje jachtvliegers in het Middellandse Zeegebied in 1944. Er zijn winnaars en verliezers, opportunisten en overlevenden, leder afzonderlijk en allen samen zijn ze nerveus en angstig, vaak grof en soms zielig. Bijna allemaal zijn ze een beetje gestoord. Catch-22 is een anti-oorlog satire van epische dimensies.
Nee, helaas is Catch-22 nog niet beschikbaar op Netflix in Nederland.
