Londen 1964. Jimmy en zijn maten zijn Mods. Ze verdelen hun tijd tussen dansen en het vechten met de Rockers. Jimmy heeft echter moeite met zijn schijnbaar zinloze bestaan dat alleen verlicht wordt door de vriendschap met zijn maten die in hetzelfde schuitje zitten.
