Als Manny's vrouw sterft, verliest z'n dochtertje Molly door de shock haar vermogen tot spreken en ze sluit zich af voor de buitenwereld. Omdat hij een hulp in de huishouding nodig heeft, huurt hij de vlotte Corrina Washington in. Corrina heeft zo'n invloed op Molly dat het haar lukt om Molly uit haar schulp te krijgen. Ook op Manny heeft ze een positieve invloed, maar dat vindt niet iedereen even leuk.
