Muzikante Anna Crowley woont samen met haar vriend Walter, een advocaat, in het luxueuze appartement van haar ex, de beroemde dirigent Max Beissart. Wanneer die vlugger dan voorzien van een tournee door Europa terugkeert, moet het paar bliksemsnel verhuizen. Van de excentrieke Estelle krijgen ze een huis aangeboden tegen een spotprijsje.
