De zeewereld wordt opgeschrikt wanneer de zoon van baas van de onder(zee)wereld gedood wordt. De jonge vis Oscar wordt gevonden op de plek van de moord. De slimme Oscar maakt gebruik van de situatie door zich voor te doen als de held die het criminele kopstuk daadwerkelijk heeft omgebracht, maar hij komt er al snel achter dat dit de nodige consequenties met zich mee brengt.
