1982. De Amerikaanse en Britse geheime diensten komen erachter dat de Russen een supersonisch vliegtuig hebben ontwikkeld dat zes keer sneller is dan het geluid en niet door radars kan worden opgemerkt, de MIG 31. Ze overwegen om het vliegtuig te stelen. Er is echter maar één piloot die in aanmerking komt voor deze opdracht die de naam "Firefox" meekreeg: Vietnamveteraan Mitchell Gant.
Nee, helaas is Firefox nog niet beschikbaar op Netflix in Nederland.
