Als een kind beweerde Kyle dat hij, toen hij wakker werd, per ongeluk de tandenfee zag, waarop zij hem probeerde te vermoorden. Sindsdien werd hij door iedereen in zijn woonplaats als gek beschouwd, behalve door zijn jeugdvriendin Caitlin en haar jongere broer. Het behaarde en gevleugelde wezen dat Kyle toen beschreef staat op het punt om terug te keren... en ze zal niet verdwijnen voor ze Caitlin's broertje te pakken heeft.
