Als jong meisje in New Mexico streefde Chama ernaar anders te zijn dan haar moeder. Nu ze in de twintig is, is ze in een soortgelijke cyclus van generatieverslaving terechtgekomen. Deze strijd bedreigt haar leven als moeder voor haar eigen dochter. Hoewel Chama alles bij elkaar probeert te houden, stort haar leven in elkaar wanneer haar dochter wordt weggehaald. Met niets meer over, zal ze haar verleden onder ogen moeten zien om te vechten voor een toekomst. Een toekomst die haar ofwel dichter bij het terugkrijgen van haar dochter kan brengen of haar dieper in deze gevaarlijke cyclus kan doen belanden.
