Plot

Deze musical gaat over orkestleider Paul Whiteman en zijn orkest. Met een cartoon, waarin onder andere Oswald Rabbit van Walter Lantz verschijnt, wordt verteld waarom Whiteman de titel 'King of Jazz' zou hebben verdiend. Enkele komedie-sketches worden opgevoerd door Laura LaPlante en Slim Summerville en een complete figuralisatie van 'Rhapsody in Blue' van Gershwin vormt het hoogtepunt van de film. Met muzikale optredens van John Boles, de Rhythm Boys (met Bing Crosby) en jazzviolist Joe Venuti.
