De student Lewis besluit om naar de andere kant van Amerika te rijden om zijn vriendin Venna te zien. Lewis raakt opgescheept met zijn oudere broer Fuller, wiens geintjes op de weg er voor zorgen dat de broers en Venna in een nachtmerrie gezogen worden wanneer een gestoorde truckchauffeur beledigd raakt.
