De demon Hellboy is als baby ontdekt door professor Trevor 'Broom' Bruttenholm. De oprichter van het Bureau of Paranormal Research and Defense heeft Hellboy opgevoed om de mensheid te verdedigen tegen monsters. In de jaren 50 raakt Hellboy met Bobbie Jo Song, een beginnende BPRD-agent, gestrand op het platteland van Appalachia. De kleine gemeenschap wordt geteisterd door heksen, die op hun beurt geleid worden door een lokale duivel met een verontrustende connectie met het verleden van Hellboy: de Crooked Man.
Nee, helaas is Hellboy: The Crooked Man nog niet beschikbaar op Netflix in Nederland.
