Wanneer een undercoveragent komt te overlijden raakt een drugsonderzoek in het slop. De politie van Detroit roept Nick Telles terug in dienst, die achttien maanden eerder ontslagen is toen één van zijn kogels een zwangere vrouw raakte. Tellis werkt samen met Henry Oak, een vriend van de dode agent, en samen gaan ze op zoek naar wat er met hem gebeurd is.
