Een regionaal ziekenhuis huurt een naar verluidt briljante hartchirurg in als hoofd van de pediatrische hartchirurgie-eenheid. Maar wanneer steeds meer kinderen beginnen te sterven op de operatietafel, begint de hoofdverpleegster van het operatiekwartier te vermoeden dat de nieuwe chirurg helemaal niet zo ervaren is dan hij iedereen wil laten geloven.
