De vrienden Marty en Derek voeren een verontrustende opdracht uit in de bossen van Michigan. Tijdens hun trip door het woud wordt het doel van hun missie duidelijk. Hun plan valt uiteindelijk in duigen waarna Marty naar huis terugkeert. Daar wordt hij met de surreële en zorgwekkende gevolgen van hun daden geconfronteerd die bovendien een emotionele tol eisen.
