De grote baas van het TV-station TrueTV maakt zich ernstige zorgen omdat het tuin-kanaal zelfs betere kijkcijfers krijgt. Een medewerker van het station komt met een idee: volg een man gedurende de hele dag, 7 dagen per week. Na een langdurige zoektocht vinden ze Ed Pekurny, een medewerker van een videotheek. Hij twijfelt of hij wel zijn privacy wil opgeven, maar uiteindelijk kiest hij voor het geld en de faam. EdTV is ontstaan, maar hoe zal zijn omgeving er mee omgaan.
Nee, helaas is ED tv nog niet beschikbaar op Netflix in Nederland.
