Een vrachtvliegtuig stort neer in een zandstorm in de Gobi-woestijn, met ongeveer 10 mensen aan boord. Een van de passagiers is een vliegtuigontwerper, die op het idee komt om met behulp van de onderdelen van het neergestorte vliegtuig een nieuw vliegtuig te bouwen. Hiermee willen ze ontsnappen voor het water en voedsel opraakt.
