Whizzkid Alex Rogan leeft in een caravanpark. Hij verslaat het Starfighter videospel tot het applaus van iedereen. Hierdoor trekt hij de aandacht van Centauri die hem voorstelt zijn kunsten met het videospel te gebruiken in een gevecht om het heelal te redden van een invasie.
Nee, helaas is The Last Starfighter nog niet beschikbaar op Netflix in Nederland.
