De drie boezemvrienden Frankie, Bennie en Tom moeten vluchten uit Hong Kong als ze bij een vechtpartij een berucht bendeleider per ongeluk doden. Via een smokkelroute komen ze terecht in Saigon, waar geweld de enige taal is die GI's, soldaten en gangsters nog verstaan.
