Noma is een donzige witte wolk. Nadat ze een oude donkere stormwolk heeft zien sterven na een pijnlijke regenbui, beseft ze dat haar dochter Mixtli, een donkere stormwolk, in gevaar is om voortijdig in regen uit te barsten.
