Violet, een moeder die weduwe is, gaat op haar eerste date in jaren. In een chique restaurant ontmoet ze de charmante en knappe Henry. Hun date wordt verstoord door een reeks anonieme telefoontjes naar haar telefoon: een figuur met een capuchon dreigt haar zoontje te vermoorden, evenals haar zus die op hem past. Violet moet precies doen wat haar wordt opgedragen en ze mag haar opdracht aan niemand vertellen: Henry vermoorden.
