In Seoel, Zuid-Korea worden stedelingen geterroriseerd door een gruwelijk monster dat in de rivier Han leeft, maar daar zo nodig uit komt om slachtoffers te maken. Wanneer een jong meisje door het monster wordt ontvoerd, besluit haar familie een levensgevaarlijke reddingstocht op poten te zetten om haar te bevrijden.
