Het is 1968. In Parijs protesteren studenten tegen de Franse regering. In deze setting ontmoeten de drie hoofdpersonen van The Dreamers elkaar. Matthew is een Amerikaan die studeert in Parijs. Hij is een echte cinefiel: al zijn vrije tijd brengt hij door in de Cinemathèque. Hier zijn de tweeling Isabelle en Theo ook altijd te vinden. Tijdens een studentenbijeenkomst ontmoeten ze elkaar en raken bevriend.
Nee, helaas is The Dreamers nog niet beschikbaar op Netflix in Nederland.
