Nadat zijn vrouw en achtjarige zoon op een strand verdwijnen en de politie geen aanwijzingen vindt, gaat Antoine zelf op onderzoek uit. Hij begint met de lokale bevolking en duikt in hun wereld. Antoine betreedt een ondergrondse sekte die hem naar een afgelegen, verlaten stadje in de woestijn leidt. Nu moet hij zijn familie vinden terwijl de sekteleider een verdraaid, psychedelisch spel met hem speelt.
