Joe Kingman is een professionele american footballspeler in de NFL. Hij is vrijgezel en geniet van het leven als bekend sporticoon. Maar dan blijkt dat hij een inmiddels 7-jarig dochtertje heeft uit een vorige relatie. Feesten, vriendinnen en afspraakjes moeten opeens gedeeltelijk plaatsmaken voor balletlessen, verhaaltjes voor het slapengaan en poppen.
