Sharon heeft genoeg van haar eentonige leven als telefoniste en stort zich met haar vriend Vic in seksuele excessen met andere paren. Dit geeft haar op den duur echter ook geen voldoening en ze besluit zich aan te sluiten bij een religieuze groepering, die geleid wordt door 'The Boy'. Sharon voelt zich gelukkig met haar nieuwe leven, totdat het moment van de voorspelde Apocalyps nadert.
