Vrouwenversierder Steven is op zoek naar de ideale vrouw. Al zijn relaties eindigen echter tragisch. Uiteindelijk ontmoet hij Anne, een sterke vrouw die anders is dan de andere vrouwen uit Steven's leven. Het wordt echter al snel duidelijk dat er sprake is van een relatie is die slechts één van hen zal kunnen overleven.
