Rudy groeit op in een mijndorpje waar veel mensen uiteindelijk gingen werken, maar wilden daarvoor in de plaats liever football spelen bij de Notre Dame. Rudy's cijfers zijn alleen een beetje laag, hij heeft weinig atletische vaardigheden en is veel kleiner dan andere sporters. Maar hij besluit niet op te geven zich aan te sluiten bij het footbal team.
Nee, helaas is Rudy nog niet beschikbaar op Netflix in Nederland.
