John Morgan (Tim McInnery) is een vreemdeling in het stadje Wetherby, die zonder duidelijke redenen zelfmoord pleegt in de keuken van Jean Travers (Vanessa Redgrave). Ze is een alleenstaande schooljuffrouw en raakt door deze gebeurtenis ernstig in de war. Ze wil de onderlinge verhoudingen in het stadje eens goed onderzoeken en organiseert een etentje voor haar vrienden.
Nee, helaas is Wetherby nog niet beschikbaar op Netflix in Nederland.
