Martin is vanaf zijn geboorte blind. Zijn leven wordt beheerst door de angst om bedrogen te worden. Deze angst gaat zo ver dat hij op iedere plek waar hij komt foto's maakt, die hij door verschillende mensen laat beschrijven zodat hij het meteen merkt als iemand hem voorliegt.
