Het is een week voor de trouwerij van Paulie en zijn zwangere verloofde Sue. Familie en vrienden bereiden zich voor op een groot feest. Ondertussen raakt de aanstaande bruidegom, met de nodige verantwoordelijkheden in het vooruitzicht, lichtelijk in paniek. En hij is niet de enige. Zijn vier groomsmen, die voor het huwelijk na lange tijd weer bij elkaar komen, worden ieder met hun eigen problemen geconfronteerd. Onvruchtbaarheid, homoseksualiteit, ex-vriendinnen en melancholie zorgen ervoor dat de vriendengroep door deze trouwerij pas écht volwassen wordt. Maar niet voordat de jongens samen nog één keer helemaal los gaan met wat ze vroeger samen deden: vechten, vissen, softballen, in een band spelen, drinken en vooral heel veel lol maken!
