Bob Wallace versiert iedere kerstperiode zijn huis rijkelijk met lichtjes en andere kerstdecoraties. Dit jaar wil hij een gooi doen naar de felbegeerde titel van het mooiste versierde huis van de stad. Hij krijgt echter te maken met de concurrentie van zijn overbuur Steve. Bob en Steve zijn al sinds hun studententijd rivalen.
