Omoide Poro poro vertelt het verhaal over de 27 jarige Taeko die haar drukke leven in Tokio overdenkt en zich een tiental dagen terugtrekt op de boerderij van haar familie. Terwijl ze reist denkt ze terug aan haar verleden als 5e klasser in 1966.
