Colonel Braddock, die na 10-jaar een Vietnamees POW-kamp wist te ontsnappen, keert terug. Hij probeert de locatie te vinden van een gevangenenkamp en de Amerikaanse gevangenen te bevrijden. Hiermee wil hij bewijzen dat er nog steeds Amerikanen vast zitten in Vietnam
