Jay en Max zijn al sinds hun kindertijd boezemvrienden. Max zet graag de bloempjes buiten, heeft altijd kortstondige avontuurtjes en is onrustig van aard. Jay is net het tegenovergestelde, hij is op zoek naar de grote liefde. Hij dacht die gevonden te hebben in Natasha. Helaas heeft zij hem een jaar geleden laten vallen en hij is dat nog steeds niet teboven gekomen. Op een dag stelt Jay Max voor aan een collega, Sam genaamd. Max en Sam gaan samen uit en worden halsoverkop verliefd op elkaar. Twee weken later zijn ze zelfs verloofd. Om te weten of Sam trouw zal zijn, vraagt Max aan Jay om haar te testen. Hij wil dat Jay probeert zijn verloofde in bed te lokken.
