Stanley (Lewis) is piccolo in een luxe hotel in Miami Beach. Hij doet zijn werk zonder een woord te zeggen en alles wat fout kan gaan, gaat ook fout. Op een dag bezoekt een grote ster het hotel, Joe Levitch (de echte naam van Jerry Lewis), wat nog meer uitglijders uitlokt.
