Daryl Zero is privé-detective. Hij is intellectueel zeer begaafd, maar sociaal een nul. Zero wil geen persoonlijk contact met zijn opdrachtgevers, hij communiceert alleen via zijn compagnon Steve Arlo, een gehaaide advocaat. Door zich zo te distantiëren, weet hij elke zaak op te lossen. Maar dan krijgt hij een opdracht van zakenman Gregory Stark die gechanteerd wordt. Het lijkt een eenvoudig zaak, maar voor het eerst in zijn carrière raakt hij emotioneel betrokken bij de zaak.
Nee, helaas is Zero Effect nog niet beschikbaar op Netflix in Nederland.
