Noera gaat naar haar werk nadat hij de hele nacht met een vriend heeft gedronken, wanneer hij Marcia ontmoet, een jonge motorrijder die op weg is naar Los Angeles. Ze raken abrupt betrokken bij een auto-achtervolging en Marcia haalt uiteindelijk een afgesloten metalen kist uit een van de achtervolgde voertuigen. Daarbinnen een donkere bol. Veel mensen willen koste wat het kost de bol hebben, waardoor Noera en Marcia wanhopig moeten wegrennen terwijl ze proberen uit te zoeken wat het vreemde object precies is dat ze bij zich dragen.
