De nieuwste versie van het ruimteschip Enterprise heeft startproblemen en Captain Kirk besluit zijn kersverse slagschip nog even in het Spacedock te houden, als een urgente missie hem toch weer de ruimte in roept. Op Nimbus III heeft een afvallige Vulcan, met behulp van een klein groepje handlangers, een aantal ambassadeurs gevangen genomen.
Nee, helaas is Star Trek V: The Final Frontier nog niet beschikbaar op Netflix in Nederland.
