Duitsland 1944, een Duitse moeder (Linda Hamilton) en haar zoon zoeken een toevluchtsoord op kerstavond, ze vinden een klein huisje waar ze kunnen schuilen. Wanneer zij door drie Amerikaanse militairen en daarna drie Duitse militairen worden bezocht, overtuigt zij met succes de militairen om hun verschillen één avond opzij te zetten om samen Kerstmis te vieren.
