Corey (Savage), ontvoert zijn wat emotioneel gestoorde broertje uit een tehuis. Samen trekken ze het halve land door en ze ontmoeten Haley. Corey en Haley ontdekken dat de kleine een gave heeft voor videospelletjes. Ze trekken met zijn drieën naar Californië waar een videogame-competitie wordt gehouden, achtervolgd door bezorgde ouders.
