Julius Kelp is een oerlelijke scheikundeleraar zonder een sociaal leven. Op een dag ontdekt hij iets fantastisch! Een samengesteld drankje dat hem verandert in een compleet andere man, Buddy Love. Buddy is erg succesvol en populair bij de vrouwen, maar ook erg arrogant. Een van Kelps studentes wordt verliefd op Buddy. Niemand weet natuurlijk dat Buddy eigenlijk professor Kelp is. Het enige nadeel van het elixir is dat het niet lang werkt.
Nee, helaas is The Nutty Professor nog niet beschikbaar op Netflix in Nederland.
