Bill is al jaren politieman in Los Angeles en één keer per jaar gaat hij met zijn vrouw Beth en hun twee kinderen kamperen. Ook dit jaar verkiest hij een weekend in het bos boven een uitstap naar San Francisco. Zover raakt het gezin echter niet: drie misdadigers gijzelen Beth in een kruidenierswinkel. Er worden enkele schoten gelost en de vrouw raakt levensgevaarlijk gewond. Bill kan terugvuren en hij raakt zelfs één van de overvallers. Na de begrafenis van zijn vrouw besluit Bill het stadsleven in te ruilen voor zijn geboortedorp Clover Bend. Maar het verleden blijft hem achtervolgen.
Nee, helaas is Clover Bend nog niet beschikbaar op Netflix in Nederland.
