De dwarse piloot Jimmy Garrett wordt te werk gesteld bij Project X, een ultrageheim militair project waarbij chimpansees worden blootgesteld aan (dodelijke) radioactieve straling. Chimpansee Mingus heeft nog eerder door wat er aan de hand is dan zijn 'baasje'. Met angstige geluiden maakt het beest duidelijk dat het niet pluis is in de experimenteerruimte.
Nee, helaas is Project X nog niet beschikbaar op Netflix in Nederland.
