De neven Bo en Luke Duke zijn tieners die naar Hazzard County, Georgia worden gestuurd. Zij moeten daar logeren bij hun oom Jesse, die een boerderij bezit. Oom Jesse ligt voortdurend in de clinch met zijn aloude rivaal Boss Hogg, een corrupte ambtenaar in het kleine stadje.
