Donal (McKenna) is is een 14-jarige jongen met een passie voor de hondenraces. Donal werkt in een kennel en krijgt daar te horen dat als zijn lievelingshond drie maal op rij wint, de hond voor hem zal zijn.... Intussen komt de ex van zijn moeder weer thuis wat ook voor de nodige onrust zorgt.
